Jeremy Sarmiento played 22 minutes as a sub for Ecuador in their 0-0 draw with Japan.
@mw-in-darwin I had not realised that he had been a pick for the Internationals.
Hopefully, McGree will be on his way back soon, as Australia only had two games I believe.
Strelec could have two more, as will Berhalter, hopefully not as many minutes. Don’t know who and where Ecuador play any more games.
That leaves the under 21’s Lankshear, ACD and one other I think 🤔
Ecuador play again on Monday against Panama. They are playing in the Kirin Cup which we won back in 1980.

For those supporters with a season pass to Boro Live then I believe the Legacy Match will be included as part of your subscription. 😎
Strelec on the bench for Slovakia away in the Faroe Islands. Lankshear and Philips start for the U 21's against Slovakia at Stoke. The line up on the BBC shows Philips playing left back!
@mw-in-darwin Strelec comes on as a sub after 70 minutes. It’s a 1 all draw against the Faroe Islands.
England 21’s end nil all against Slovakia. Lankshear gets 70 minutes, Phillips gets a full 90, ACD gets 28.
For those supporters with a season pass to Boro Live then I believe the Legacy Match will be included as part of your subscription. 😎
Good spot, thanks. I wish that they had an On Demand facility instead of just a Live Stream. Kick off is 2.00am which is a tough time to be awake!

According to CJ in Teesside Live, Berhalter is flying back earlier
"The USA are next in action in the early hours of Sunday morning (UK time) in a friendly against Mexico. He will then fly back to Teesside with ample time to recover and get ready for Boro’s return to action at home to Wolves next weekend."
@selwynoz. I am in agreement about the on demand facility.
I had similar problems the last time we visited family in oz. It’s hard enough watching Boro at any time but even harder at 2:00am; you have my sympathise. 😎
A wee piece on the BBC about the Legends gathering tomorrow..
https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/cqly0nn6ex2mo
@powmillnaemore - really looking forward to tomorrow to see those players of our recent past who still feel such an affinity to our club to turn up to celebrate our 150 years.
At least a Boro victory will be guaranteed!
Looking like a good attendance as well to add to the atmosphere.
Boro’s three Young Lions were in action in Stoke on Friday evening.
Ashley Phillips and Will Lankshear started the goalless draw with Slovakia which helped England U21s seal European qualification. Lankshear made his full U21s debut after a goalscoring turn as a substitute a week ago.
Amario Cozier-Duberry also made his debut at that level from the bench in the second half.
When was the last time Boro had three (3) players representing the England under 21s the same time?
My guess is during John Neal's time when we had Proctor, Hodgson and Johnston. Those three were special players for me and I never thought we would have a similar time at the club. Of course those three players were coming through our own 'academy' at the time. So it was even more special.
But the competition is even greater today - so it is a special time to support Boro when we have Lankshear, Phillips and Cozier-Duberry in our team. Let's enjoy the season now.
Up the Boro!
Even though I am holiday in Turkey, I was able to watch live England crush Croatia 0-7, what a performance, hope everyone who have tickets for today’s game have a great time, I get back on Friday in time for the Wolves game, I always seem to book our holidays during international breaks so rarely miss home games.
Come on BORO.
@mw-in-darwin. That is excellent news a fitting tribute to all involved; I shall be watching via the live stream.
One thing I did notice was that Jim Platt was not listed as attending. I believed he was heavily involved on match days and with the former players association; I hope this does not mean he is unwell.
Jarkko, do you have any information?
Hickton, Mills and McMordie also not involved. 😎
“For those supporters with a season pass to Boro Live then I believe the Legacy Match will be included as part of your subscription. 😎”
Just logged in to find that you will in fact have to pay £3 as the match is not covered as part of normal subscription. Well worth it to see some old faces and to celebrate the club’s history. 😎
Boro are leaking goals again. 4-4 at half time. Juninho scoring the equaliser on 45 + 2 added time.
But we have also scored eight in the first half. More than Kim Hellberg's team do.
Up the Boro!
I watched the game on the stream and got quite emotional at times. It was great to see the passion for our club from so many of our players and, of course, from Leo P.
I’m not convinced, though, the guy doing the commentary on the game wasn’t Alan Partridge!
Good news for everyone. The full Legacy Game is now available on Boro Live.
That will take up a chunk of the day and I’ll also post my intro to the Wolves game later today. Something to look back to and then something to start us looking forward again.

TODAY AT THE RIVERSIDE
Just been watching today’s celebrations of Boro achieving 150 years. Just hearing the names and seeing the former players walk onto the pitch brought back lovely memories. It must have been a unique occasion.
PHILIP OF HUDDERSFIELD
Well, it was great to see Juninho play once again. Also Aytor Karanka and Mogga. And Terry Cochrane, too. And many, many others like Tuncay.
As Martin said, quite emotial. A nice occation but there should have been a mentioning of the greatest ever figure at Boro, too.
Steve Gibson.
He was present on his regular seat but he should have been on the pitch, too.
Up the Boro!
@jarkko I agree. I was very surprised that he wasn’t introduced on the pitch. I suspect it will have been his decision to keep out of the limelight.
Just to add to the comments from Martin and Jarkko. I too watched the game live and couldn’t understand why I was getting so emotional as certain players were introduced.
The big disappointment was that Steve Gibson did not receive an accolade from the crowd which he richly deserved as he is an integral part of our history, shame. 😎
Admin note
I've now published my intro to the Wolves game (or, more accurately, a look back over our collective shoulders.)
I was able to spend some time watching the Legacy match. There were some moments, particularly the player intros, when I definitely caught a speck of dust in my eye and had to wipe it out. Quite emotional.

As others have said quite an emotional Sunday afternoon at the Riverside. Great to see some of the old players. Really impressed by George Friend and Fabio as the left backs. Some of the players have obviously had a very good retirement with good food and drink. Others had obviously kept themselves trim and fit.
@mw-in-darwin Yes George Friend really shone and was the pick. Although I thought Scott McDonald did rather well. Two goals, one with his left, one with his right.
I did smile though when Erimus were awarded the penalty. Juninho gets given the ball, steps up to strike it, and Thomas Miejas dives to his right before he even gets near to hitting the ball.
Nobody was going to deny the “little fella” his goal.
