I’ve never noticed the green and grey dot changing as members log in before - that’s quite useful to know. Also it’s possible if the host does work on their server it may log you out too.
Yes a must win tomorrow as Millwall just not going away - though Hull appear to be dropping back and Boro will be 9 points ahead of them if they win tomorrow.
Anyway, come on Leicester!

As a matter of interest, do you happen to know how often the host does do work on its server? I ask only because it always seems to be two weeks to the very minute since I previously logged in that I come on to the site only to find that I must do so again. I'm baffled, but in IT matters, that's not difficult!
Anyway, come on Leicester!
The Foxes a goal up at Portman Road at half-time!
Inevitably, Coventry also leading at half-time (Sakamoto in the 37th minute, but Latibauduere sent off in the 43rd).
Good win for Millwall, though Hull could and should have been out of sight by half-time having missed four or five gilt-edged chances.
Josh put the game to bed with a great individual goal in a M-o-M all-round performance. He has now scored five goals in the last ten games. I just hope we don't come to regret his transfer any more than many of us already do
FT Ipswich 1 Leicester 1
Come on BORO.
Hi Diasborians
Thanks Andy for doing my scheduled match preview it’s appreciated 👋. Thanks to all for the best wishes it’s been a long journey !

Will watch the game tomorrow hopefully for a win !
Hopefully see the return of Boro3 !

Great to hear rom you, Bob. Best of luck for next Thursday.
@original-fat-bob. Good to hear from you and hope all goes well next week. 😎

Good Luck, Bob, for next week.
As for today's results, I can live with Coventry winning. They are not home and hosed yet, but we should concentrate on Boro's form and ensuring an automatic promotion finish even if it is second. We'd all take that, wouldn't we? As for Millwall & Hull, they couldn't both win. So Millwall gets three points and that damages Hull's prospects. Leicester drawing with Ipswich takes two points off the "games in hand" Ipswich had.
So TWO of those three chasing teams have lost some ground. PROVIDING BORO does the business tomorrow.
Quite agree that we should not think about Coventry let them have promotion. Everything is now back in our own hands after Ipswich's draw with Leicester as long as we win at Loftus Road. It is a three way fight, I believe for 2nd place between Ipswich, Millwall and ourselves, and they all have to play each other, with Ipswich at home to Millwall in two weeks kicking off at the same time as our game at Blackburn. Looks like an interesting couple of weeks.
Good to hear from you Bob. Will be thinking of you on Thursday.
Well, well. What can I say about yesterday? An excess of beer and haggis bon bons to accompany a most unxpected excess of tries as Scotland humbled the French. Edinburgh was a very happy place to be yesterday. It was just a shame the French ran in three late tries that not only make the final scoreline less emphatic, but also means France are still favorites to win the 6-Nations championship this time.
Then Leicester doing exactly what was required at Portman Road. It is all back in our hands again. Bob's Boro3 will certainly not go amiss today, so fingers firmly crossed. It is just a shame Bristol couldn't contain Coventry as well. Still with them having to visit to Soton next but one, I can't see them pulling away from us before the upcoming international break.
After an Edinburgh rugby on the big-screen pub session yesterday, we will be taking the Californian branch to our local in Perth to watch the big match today. It is owned by a former St Johnstone footballer and always has the football on TV as well as offering more than decent pub grub. Here is hoping for another right sporting outcome to round off the weekend and to cheer with a pint or two of Caledonian Best!!
Absolutely right Jarkko! Although with my wife and her brother being Scottish and them having raised the next generation with the same bias, then I suspect they will prefer to say seeing Scotland maul the French was the thing worth travelling for. It is a never ending work in progress for me to get them to follow the Boro. To be fair to them, the Californian branch does sometimes get to watch Boro live on TV over there. To see Boro live on TV is certainly worth all the travelling from California. 😆Mrs P-N's brother and his daughter are over from California with us for a few days. So tomorrow we are off to soak up the atmosphere (and the beer) in an Edinburgh rugby pub to cheer on Scotland against France. Then on Sunday they will be treated to QPRvBoro on TV!!
I hope they will see a big win for the Reds. Up the Boro!
@mw-in-darwin We have been in the top two all season, I think. So for me the target(t) must be to beat Coventry to the medals.
Do you still get a trophy or cup for winning the Championship? Or is a cup given only to the winners at Wembley play-off final?
Up the Boro!
@jarkko. Yes, the winners of the EFL Championship receive a trophy. It is the trophy that the winners of the old First Division used to get before the split that formed the Premier League. I believe the runner up (i.e. 2nd placed team) also gets a trophy these days.
@martin-bellamy now there is a surprise on both fronts. Have to trust in KH on that one.
I can imagine a Conway coming on after an hour will be more than a handful against tiring opponents. Always the option to switch to a back three in the game if plan A doesn't deliver... Let us see how this pans out ... 🤞

And interesting that Fry's taken over the captain's armband from HH.
@stircrazy I seem to recall it’s Fry’s whenever he starts.

OK. Thanks, Werder.
CJ's thoughts on the starting line-up - I note that he can't spell "accommodate":
Two big changes from Kim Hellberg today then.
In Malanda and Conway, he rests two players who've started every game they've been available to play under him - in the case of Conway, that being every game he's managed. You suspect that's exactly what both are today - rested. Particularly Malanda, he noted how he'd played way more than he would ideally like just last week before he then had a bit of a nightmare evening at Birmingham. The rest seems logical.
That makes it a big afternoon for David Strelec, who leads the line for Boro by himself.
With Browne back in the side, as well as Whittaker, you'd assume that's a return to 4-3-3.
Leo Castledine returns to the bench after his recent injury, with fellow January addition Finley Munroe dropping out to accomodate him.
And on the state of play vis-à-vis the promotion-chasers:
Opportunity for Boro
Boro can move five points clear of Ipswich Town with a victory today, after the Tractor Boys were held to a 1-1 draw yesterday at home with Leicester City. That could be significant. Ipswich still have a game in hand (away at Portsmouth) but were previously only three points behind and with a better goal difference.
What it means, if Boro win today, is they can afford to get a draw at Ipswich and still stay above them in the table (assuming Kieran McKenna's side win their game in hand). Boro still can't afford to lose at Portman Road next month, but if they can get a win today, it adds an extra advantage in Boro's favour.
That said, keep an eye on Millwall. Another win for them yesterday - away at Hull City. Before today's game, they're back to just one point behind Boro. Alex Neil's side have lost only one of their last eight.
Warnock on the TV match preview saying how much he loved Josh Coburn and that he couldn't understand why the Boro let him go and that they could certainly do with him now. A not so subtle dig at his nemesis Kieron Scott
Let’s see how Strelec does upfront. We need another “Team” effort and a good result.
Sky have us 4-2-3-1.
A surprise to see the Starting XI. Malanda has been a giant, as well as a class act, since joining Boro. However the last game showed he isn't perfect. He probably DOES need a rest so let's hope it does him some good and that the defence, without him, does its job.
I am probably more surprised by Conway not starting. Not because he is a good scoring centre forward but because of the running, tracking back and closing down he does. Now THAT is a player who deserves a rest. I suspect they will return to Starting XIs in the future. (Unless the centre of defence looks really solid today, keeps a clean sheet, and unless Strelec hits a hat trick!).
Listening on the radio today. I had been planning to go to The Ploated Pheasant to watch it on SkyTV. However on Thursday morning I received an insect bite near my right knee (or was it an ant bite?) as I kneeled down in the drive to check the tyre pressures on my wife's car. I noticed the itch within seconds, saw two close puncture wounds and tried to clean it as soon as possible. Within two days the knee and now the leg has swollen up and the wound is obviously infected.
The pharmacist prescribed antibiotics yesterday morning but since today is only day two of taking them, they have not really started to take effect. I am not worried and expect the swelling and pain to subside, hopefully tomorrow. But there seems no point going to a noisy, crowded pub when I am not feeling 100%. I will stay at home.
Obviously I have "form" for reacting to insect bites/stings. I had a similar reaction when camping at Masham a couple of years back and I had a much worse reaction that resulted in cellulitis to my left leg, which was VERY worrying and required a couple of different antibiotics to resolve, about 10 years ago. I shall be even more cautious about The Midge this summer, though it has always been the legs that suffer for me.
Boro to win at QPR 3-1. #UTB.
Boro a goal up after 20 minutes - STRELEC "assisted" by Whittaker - the Beeb text commentary:
Boro lead, and Morgan Whittaker gets his goal... or does he?
Hayden Hackney drives in from the left and slides in Riley McGree on the left of the box. His cut-back is perfect for Morgan Whittaker, who fluffs his lines, scuffing into Rhys Norrington-Davies leg and though he gets a second bite at the cherry, his bobbling effort flicks off the hip of David Strelec on the line and past the prone Joe Walsh.
Not pretty, but so important.
Fry off injured in the 31st minute, replaced by Malanda - CJ:
Boro win a wide free-kick deep in the QPR half. Off the ball, Dael Fry goes down and wants treatment. Looks to be an issue with his right leg, where he has had the calf issues. Hopefully for his sake nothing too serious.
Maddo on the Beeb commentary:
It's a real blow because Dael Fry has been excellent ever since he's come back into the team. He's going to be needed from now to the end of the season. Let's hope it's not too serious.
🙁
Well we controlled and dominated the first half and scored a scruffy goal but we need another to make this game safe.
QPR offering little but dangerous on the break and from set pieces.
MW has been poor with his control and passing and for me should be swapped for TC. 😎
