There is a problem with loaning out Young players, football at the top is founded on the search for the next big thing. By that I mean the giants of the game are well aware that success is dependent on finding that jewel, and signing him, no matter the cost whether to wallet or reputation. And the real jewel is the striker, ideally, Young, about six foot four, fast, fearless, good in the air, good on the ground, an eye for goal, tick any boxes? The last time we loaned out a Good player, he carried the club into the prem. Was sold for a modest sum, to one of the giants, and best of all, we had no embarrassing haggling to do. The entire affair was done without consulting us. So let's see what happens with Josh.

How’s that “Good player” done since he was signed by the giant that is Spurs?
This extract is from the Nottingham Post today: “However, Spence has struggled to establish himself as part of Antonio Conte’s side, featuring four times for a total of just 28 minutes this term as he competes with Matt Doherty and Emerson Royal for a starting berth. Spurs have now been linked with a further £26million move for Inter Milan’s Denzel Dumfries in January and former defender Pascal Chimbonda has wondered where this would leave Spence’s prospects at the club.”
The Spurs fans seem keen to see him though. https://tbrfootball.com/report-how-tottenham-fans-reacted-to-djed-spence-warming-up-in-win/?amp
I’ve had a word with Andy Campbell tonight and if Diasborians are interested he will give an In2View about his work and ambitions for Boro Ladies.
Please let me know your thoughts and if it’s positive also let me know what questions you would like me to ask.

I’d love to hear from Andy about Boro Ladies. I’m watching a lot of women’s football and really enjoying everything about it, as it gets more and more professional.
I must also add that Beth Mead is a truly exceptional, talent.Watching her scythe through the opposition is a real pleasure. Let’s hope that thre are others out there that good and Boro Ladies can go from strength to strength.
Are Boro Ladies properly linked to MFC. I hope so and if not, do they want to be?
UTBL
@selwynoz Not sure about the ladies, but the Women’s team’s website is here. 😉
Thank you. Maybe I'm being dumb but, although they appear to be using the same shirt, there isn't any reference to the mens team or the main club and vice versa.
I see that MWFC are in the fourth tier of the women's game and their round two cup opponents, Fylde, are in tier three.

Strange how some football reporters mark different players as their Man of the Match. The Yorkshire Post produce the Team of the Week after each block of fixtures, and this is their findings as Championship Team of the Week for last weekend:-
1. Lee Nicholls (Huddersfield) 8.9.
2. Tommy Smith (Boro) 7.3.
3. Kyle Bartley (West Brom) 9.4.
4. Charlie Cresswell (Millwall) 8.4.
5. Jacob Greaves (Hull City) 8.2.
6. Amad Diallo (Sunderland) 8.6.
7. Zian Flemming (Millwall) 9.8.
8. Josh Brownhill (Burnley) 8.3.
9. Alfie Doughty (Luton) 8.2.
10.Ashley Barnes (Burnley) 8.5.
11.Viktor Gyokeres (Coventry) 8.8
Only one Boro player named and with the lowest score of the team amongst some very high marks. Surely no player can be awarded 9+, and Huddersfield and Luton only drew at home whilst Hull City lost. It almost beggars belief when both Boro and Sunderland were nominated by most journalists as the best result of the weekend. Or perhaps the two north east clubs supporters are a tad biased in their deliberations. Surely not!

No brainer for me. I have played against a Former Boro players in 2015. And Andy Campbell was included in the Boro team.
Even my team lost 12-3, I would like to hear about Andy and his Boro team. One question I would like to ask is why their creat are different to men's team?
Up the Boro, also the Women's Team!
@original-fat-bob Yes please, 'Andy Campbell's Ladle' is hanging at the top of our stairs so I get a reminder of him every night!
UTB,
John
PS Jarkko, that great Finnish detective series 'Deadwind' has just started a new series on Netflix, it'll keep me going through the World Cup half term break.
John
@john-richardson I have heard about it. It’s called Karppi in Finnish. But I am afraid I cannot comment on it as neither I nor my wife have watched it. We mainly watch the news regularly on TV and then sports. So we have totally missed that.
Up the Boro!
Those hunting the great player, before he is going to cost them an arm and a leg, do not get exited if they get it wrong. He is saleable and will be sold, and they will probably make a profit. The search goes on.
@selwynoz You’re right. Maybe I’ve got the wrong team there. Can anyone clarify?

I’m not at all aiming to be disrespectful, but I read that and thought of some of the explanations given by Ted Rogers to the final riddle on 3,2,1. Hope I haven’t won Dusty Bin.
