@simonfallaha I love it .... excellent and quite rightly positive. Thanks for that little additional boost beofre tomorrow.
@simonfallaha. Brilliant Sy, that has lifted my spirits and given me some positives to think about rather than our dismal record at the twin towers.
Hull’s record against ourselves and Southampton is very good, P4 W3 L1.
Their best possession stats is 44% against us when we won 1-4 so I expect more of the same with us seeing lots of the ball but Hull trying to catch us on the break or waiting for a mistake.
Fingers crossed Boro don’t take the hard route and go to a shoot out! 😎
Thanks for your post, Si. Let’s hope the 6 is an omen of good luck.
OFB - glad to hear you’re free. Free to watch Boro being promoted I hope.
What a season this has been - one more win needed and there’s no reason why we can’t prevail. I’d love to see Morris score the winning goal - he’s been a rock this year and you can see when the team are in their pre-match huddle that he does a lot of the talking (he is American after all!).
Having even a 90% fit HH back would be an enormous boost, but we need MW on the top of his game and also no mistakes from SB in goal.
I’d like to see us at least 2 goals up before 75 minutes have elapsed. We’re notoriously short of impact off the bench so I’d like it all wrapped up before KH has to make changes.
I’m still pinching myself about the opportunity tomorrow. I hope we can all enjoy the day.
That’s a great positive post Si.
OK, just for those interested, here are the BBC match reports from the two games against Millwall, complete with line ups, stats etc.
The game at home, Hull lined up 4 - 2 - 3 - 1 with them lining up 3 - 4 - 2 - 1 away at Millwall, possibly thinking about stifling the Lions on their own patch
Of the both match lines ups nine players started both games, with ex Boro pair Crooks and Giles playing all the minutes apart from the latter being subbed by McNair in the 84 minute of the winning game.
Top goal scorers are McBurnie 17, Gelhardt 15, Joseph 8 and Crooks 4. Ryan Giles has 8 assists.
So there is quite a lot of firepower there in a small number of players. McBurnie being the one to watch along with Gelhardt, and the former is quite a handful.

Off topic, I know, but I see that MC, having cut his managerial teeth at Boro, has bagged the top job at "ManUre"!
Boro Wembley tickets sold out as the team leave Teesside Airport for the Capital
EXMIL CHALLENGE 2026 - Playoff Final
werdermouth don’t forget tomorrow’s deadline, I wouldn’t want you to do a Southampton and miss the final 😂😂😂. Good luck to everyone, especially the Boro.
Come on BORO.
The temperature will be approaching 30C in London tomorrow afternoon. It will be important for both teams to manage the pace of the game if they are to avoid running out of steam well before the final whistle. No doubt the manager has it all under sontrol.
I won't add to the excellent observations,
But getting back to the game itself
The fact is ,this game is on Kim Hellberg, does he have them ready, forget the time off, his in game management will tell us a lot, , let's be honest, Boro have failed too many times, I'm confident we can win the game, but like Southgate with England almost isn't good enough,
Over to you Kim and your staff
COB
Just to add , I've been disgusted with the so called major Sport outlets, all wearing a Southampton Scarf, you'd think Boro were the culprits , it's obvious one club , was breaking rules relentlessly, , anyway
That was an expertly composed opener Clive that flowed brilliantly and covered everything with style - even more impressive was it was written at such short notice! Many thanks and hope you have a great day out at Wembley!
Still can’t believe Boro have got a chance to get promoted to the Premier League tomorrow - all seems still a bit surreal.
wishing you all the very best for a full recovery and I’m hoping that we can share a great day watching from opposite ends of the earth
UTB and UOFB
Went for a bit of Teesside inspiration in Anchorage today visiting the Captain Cook statue. Alaska was the last place he discovered before being killed in Hawaii. Hopefully another Teesside captain can discover the promised land on Saturday.
I am having trouble buying a match pass for the game. Has anyone else tried to buy one?
Just a quick post before i head off down south to join the red and white convoy towards Wembley.
All the insights have bee great and enjoyed the positivity of Si and great that OFB will be home to watch although hioefully without too much stress (who am i kidding its Boro)!
Likewise hope all those spread out across the world manage to watch - we have people in the very north in Alaska to Australia which is pretty impressive.
Despite all my misgivings over this season i am hoping for a win, to help repay Mr Gibson for all that he has done for the club over the years and for Boro to break our Wembley duck -

Good morning all and safe travels for everyone on the move today. Like Werder said, this is all a little surreal.
I have hit a major snag for my plans. We are at the theatre in Glasgow tonight, so I had planned to spend the afternoon in a Glasgow pub to see the game. I didn't think that through well enough as it is Scottish Cup Final day today and Celtic are playing.... every place I called in Glasgow said yes there will be football on their screens, just not the football I need it to be.
I may end up sitting in Kelvingrove Park watching us on an ipad
Have a great day everyone and whayever the result, I hope the Boro does us proud.
Best of luck to everyone from Alaska to Australia, to Powmill sitting in a Glasgow park, to all those travelling down, and especially to Bob. And of course to the Boro.
Hope we all have a day to remember.
Bring it home Dael.
I wonder what Big Jack would've been saying today...
I’m busy trying to find things to occupy me before the game. I’ve cut the grass and am about to put the car on charge, before cooking lunch.
There are a couple of household repairs I could do before 3.30 but I’m not sure I can concentrate properly.
For the Norwich Final we had all the family round to watch with us, but everyone’s spread far and wide now, so we’re going for a low key affair with just the two of us.
It’s nerve wracking though, isn’t it? Surely we can put the Wembley hoodoo behind us today.
I’ve got the last bottle of Cremante, brought back from Alsace a few years ago, in the fridge - let’s all hope that we’ll be toasting a victory this evening.
Good luck everyone and safe travels to those lucky ones with tickets.
@martin-bellamy The same problems in West Norfolk. Twitching, pacing, finding things to do... Quite ridiculous really, an enormous dose of the fidgets and the Boss actually saying 'and I thought it was all over'. No understanding of the stress Boro supporters go through. None.
A bottle of Cremante from Alsace, very nice too! You'll be celebrating tonight.
UTB,
John
PS OFB, Good to hear you are back in the Oracle's cave in Stewart's Park. Look after yourself.

The stats at the end make sobering reading, says SC, reintroducing a note of pessimism. It would be good to think that Boro could buck the trend this afternoon...
Many thanks to all for the mention and warm greetings
Mr Gibson
after these last few weeks is now known as the smogfather !
OFB
MC had some nice words to say about the Boro and the friends he had made. Hopefully we will welcome him back to the RIVERSIDE next season in the PREMIERSHIP !

@mw-in-darwin. I have an annual pass so was able to watch the Semis.
I have been on to the website just now and it is offering a match pass for video and audio. When you press the purchase button it then shows the annual pass fees for both but does not offer a single match pass.
Not sure if that is telling me that I already have a pass for the match or if there is a problem. I will find out later when I try to log in!
Sorry I can’t be more help. Hope you get it sorted before kick off. 😎
MW, I am in Spain (turned my VPN off) and can buy a match pass.
Boro Live, Subscriptions, option at the top, Subscriptions on the left Match Pass on the right. Available for £10
However is Alaska (America) in the countries for streaming?
- Watch.
- CBS.
- ESPN.
- SiriusXM FC.
- TelevisaUnivision.
paramount + is showing as streaming the game. The page I have read says you can buy a pass for the game. 8.99 dollars for a month pass
Boro team news is in!
Hayden Hackney is on the bench
Managed this morning to buy the audio pass. Thanks for all the helpful hints. It is 2 degrees here. Just seen on Facebook the team has arrived on time at Wembley unlike last time.
Only worry is that Hull will take us to court if we win
