Isaiah Jones is looking to leave Middlesbrough in January.
With A Few Unnamed Clubs That Are Interested in Signing The 25-Year Old Forward Who Only Signed A New Deal With Boro Back In April Running Until 2027.

This could be a significant Window compared to recent ones
There's all kinds of whispers going on, the latest being recalling Doak to send him to a premiership club, Can they do that?
I can see cubs having interest in ,Jones, Forss ,Lenehan , Engel ,even Clarke , Dieng, looks interesting times
Rumours still abound that Latte Lath is going to go during the winter transfer window.
West Ham and Ipswich are the two clubs rumoured to be hovering round for his services. Whilst it would probably be damaging to Boro’s promotion challenge it could also open the door to try and sign players who could provide the impetus to get over the line into the Premiership.

So little on the transfer front at the moment but who remembers this former player of the Boro who is visiting this week?
OFB
@original-fat-bob Is he still kicking that ball against a wall or busy inventing new boots?
So this is the guy who was visiting I couldn’t belieeeve it !
one of my all time favourite players !
OFB
Yes, one of my favourites, too. His whole story is amaizing - he quitted Liverpool to be near his sister who needed help in Australia. And the the Adidas boots. I think he was later a photographer. So little on the transfer front at the moment but who remembers this former player of the Boro who is visiting this week?
OFB
I hope he gives many interviews while on Teesside. I really like him as a person, too. Up the Boro!
I wonder if we should be slightly concerned about the Aidan Morris situation.
I have no reason to be, but I do pay attention to any possible leakage in the language of those in authority, any suggestion that the truth is the exact opposite of the impression they are intending to give.
Carrick reported in his press conference this week that the American was 'back on the grass' but not training with the squad, and wouldn't be making the trip to Plymouth.
I may have missed it, but I don't recall seeing any report that he has yet returned to this country.
Carrick's words give the impression that he has, without actually saying so.
Carrick had already given the lad some cover for an extended stay back home with his earlier assertion that he has played without a break for this entire year and that young players need to be nurtured and not overplayed.
It was originally said that he had twisted his knee in training and would be out for 3 weeks.
That was 4 weeks ago, and the latest from the club, before Carrick's statement this week, was that they hoped to have him back by Christmas.
That now seems to be unlikely, but no date has been set for his return to first team duties, which also seems somewhat odd, given that his injury was assessed as being relatively minor.
Assessed, by the way, in America. I haven't seen any evidence that he has been seen by the Boro staff.
I hope that I'm barking up the wrong tree here and that Bob or any other locals can assure me that they saw Aidan in a restaurant or shopping in Tesco's this week, or that the club will say that they hope the lad will be fit for the Blackburn cup-tie.
And I haven't a scrap of evidence, thank goodness, to back up my fear that the club may be managing a situation in which the young man may have been seriously homesick and is at this moment considering, from a sunny retreat in his native Florida, whether the footballing attractions of a career on our bitter north-east coast outweigh the loneliness of a 23 year old young man living away from his friends and a long way from home.
I just hope that all of this is shown to be complete rubbish within the next few days or weeks, and we see Aidan back to the full fitness and form that we need from him if we are to be serious contenders this season.
If I'm proved definitively wrong, I 'll be delighted. And the sooner the better
Wheely ?
As far as I know Morris is back with the Boro and of course being Morris only has a Minor injury !
Morris did have a Mini Brake back home as they also didn’t want to risk his Suspension and he was Tyred.
I expect him to be back soon and Steer us into an Automatic promotion slot.
He may have had a Reverse with his injury but it’s all Systems go and he’s Gearing up for Driving on.
He’s Motoring ahead to lock Horns over the Xmas Brake and see the Lights ahead.

I can reassure you on Aidan Morris as I spotted this report from 4 December by Craig Johns...
As well as the longer-term absentees, Boro will also still be without midfielder Aidan Morris for the Burnley game. But now back on Teesside after being allowed an extended stay in the USA after injuring his knee while on international duty, Boro have been able to assess him and the prognosis is quite positive.
Carrick updated: “Aidan’s back on the grass, but with the nature of the injury with his knee, straight-line running is really okay but it’s the twisting and turning we’re having to be careful with, and the kicking in terms of side-footing. There are little stages he still has to progress through, but he’s back on the grass, which is a positive even if he’s not actually back with us training yet."
Thanks Bob and Werder, that's a relief.
I thought I'd risk a thought that woke me up in the middle of the night, since the thread is entitled Rumour and Gossip.
Good to see the Diasboro Brains Trust putting me right even before I'm fully awake.
I for one am looking forward to seeing Morris back dancing past the opposition.

Don't have any Boro gossip but not sure if this thread is applicable for just general gossip but I've just seen a weird photograph in the Independent of Trump, Elon Musk and JD Vance where Trump's make-up is in desperate need of touching up, Musk's head looks to have gone all 2D like you could imagine would happen if botox was liberally injected before placing your head in a metal box for several hours - while JD Vance seems he uses a geometric set squares when shaving before applying retro new-romantic eye-liner - it also appears the latter two share the same bottle of henna when washing their hair (as opposed to the famous Rudy Giuliani shoe polish that ended up running down his face during a press conference several years ago).
It suggests in the photo that JD Vance has just realised something existential he can't do anything about and Musk has smuggly just realised Vance has just twigged - though Trump is trying to style it out while trying to look unconcerned as he realises nothing really matters now he's been elected again!
Are these people even real or are they just cartoon characters created by our new AI overlords to distract us from important matters like football and unfinished DIY projects?
Anyway, sorry for the interruption I suppose I must do more research...
Werder i don’t mind what you post it’s always interesting!
Our new ambassador to the USA is not well liked by them !
Although Mandelson dyes his hair black as well !

Stockport have confirmed Louie Barry will be recalled by Aston Villa on January 1. Barry the subject of interest from a number of Championship clubs. Middlesbrough remain among the front runners for the forward’s signature but Derby also now pushing.
OFB
@original-fat-bob - I think the expression I heard in "Red Dwarf" was The Prince of Dorkness.
(I have come late to this thread though, to be fair, I am usually the last to hear any rumours unless of the Fleetwood Mack type).
🚨 | As per Dom Shaw, Boropolis understands reports suggesting Middlesbrough are ‘among the front runners’ for Louie Barry are wide of the mark.
OFB
MICHAEL Carrick says Alex Gilbert will "definitely" get opportunities to play for Middlesbrough in the coming weeks - and has suggested he will resist any temptation to send the former Brentford man out on loan in January.
OFB
One player who is extremely unlikely to be joining in January is Louie Barry. Boro have watched the young forward in the first half of the season but have no plans to pursue a move as things stand.
Barry has impressed in League One on loan at Stockport, who confirmed earlier this week that Aston Villa have activated their clause to recall the 21-year-old in the winter window.
The expectation is that Villa will send Barry back out to the Championship next month. Boro have been linked - as well as Derby County and Leeds - but will prioritise other targets if they feel the need to strengthen the attack in January.
As well as Latte Lath, Isaiah Jones has been linked with a move away from Boro, with reports last week claiming the winger - who has struggled for game-time this season after falling behind Ben Doak in the pecking order - is keen on a switch in search of regular football.
Looking ahead to January and asked specifically about Latte Lath's situation, Carrick said yesterday: "I've said it before, we're determined to come out of January as strong, if not stronger, in many ways.
"It's obviously a tricky time of year. Some things that come up are completely in our eye-line and what we want to do, other times it's out of your control and things get thrown at you.
"We're ready to deal with whatever gets thrown at us. I'm happy with the squad and delighted with how everyone is contributing. I'm really excited at what's around the corner for us."

This from West Ham news on rumours of Latte Lath's agent being at their training ground...
What the Middlesbrough fans may not realise is that the agent is actually at West Ham’s Academy training complex.
That is completely separate from West Ham’s first team training ground Rush Green, which is two and a half miles away.
Hammers News understands Matthias was there with a view to the firm he works for – MP Management – potentially representing emerging West Ham talents.
Lath would be a superb addition for West Ham but if his agent was holding talks with the Hammers over a January move, it’s highly unlikely he would do it at the club’s Academy base.
Middlesbrough and Sunderland are allegedly interested in signing former Leeds United player Glen Kamara.
In 2023/24, the Finnish international made 42 appearances for Leeds United after joining from Rangers.
Kamara, who played regularly under Daniel Farke, left to join Rennes for about £8 million at the end of the season.
The 29-year-old has missed just two Ligue 1 games this season, yet he is already being linked with a return to England
The 29-year-old has missed just two Ligue 1 games this season, yet he is already being linked with a return to England.
The midfielder is attracting interest from Championship clubs Middlesbrough, Sunderland, and Burnley, according to The Boot Room.
There is also speculation that Premier League clubs Ipswich Town and Southampton are keeping an eye on the former Arsenal prospect.
In November, Kamara told GiveMeSport that leaving Elland Road was “bittersweet”. He stated, “It was bittersweet leaving Leeds. We were very close to climbing up.
“We probably should’ve gone up automatically. It was difficult to accept defeat in the play-off final.
“I was only there for a year, so moving so soon was a bit of a weird one, but things just happen quickly in football and you have to be ready.”
Rennes is 12th in the Ligue 1 table, having won five, drawn two, and lost eight of their first fifteen games.
He stated, “I was drawn to the club’s aim to be in Europe. I played a lot of European football for Rangers, and returning to that level would be incredible. And I believe that is where this club wants to be.
“If we do not make Europe this season, we will be dissatisfied. It wouldn’t be good for us, especially with our current team. We’ve spent a lot of money this season. The goal is unquestionably to get into Europe. “All the boys are aware of this.”

@original-fat-bob He is a better player than Forss but of course older. He has been a regular for our National Team for years.
He was born in Finland, but came trough the Arsenal academy. So he left Finland at a very young age. He always gives the TV interviews in English, but the rumour is he speaks decent Finnish behind the scenes. I think he joined Arsenal at around the age of nine.
His parents are from Sierra Leone.
He is a defending midfielder, so he would complete with Howson and Morris. But can play futher up if needed, but at his best as a defensive midfielder.
Up the Boro!
Seen Derby a couple of times , Ive been impressed with their RB Wilson, a Tommy Smith type and their Swedish International Goalkeeper.
Dislocated shoulders are a serious injury, it could turn into a problem for life, in the sense it can pop at anytime .
We might be looking for a new net minder
Kamara at 29 years old, I don't see other than a loan .
We could if we were serious ,push the boat out and try to loan someone like Ward -Prouse a dead ball specialist.
Middlesbrough’s potential January transfer business will be determined by a domino effect, as the club takes an open-minded approach to the transfer window.
Opening tomorrow and lasting until February 3, Boro will have the opportunity, should they see fit, to strengthen their squad with new additions. However, they aren’t in a position of desperation as things stand, with Michael Carrick happy with his options in all areas of the pitch, and Boro’s current squad at its maximum in accordance with the EFL’s 25-man squad rules.

Mike Phelan is now available after leaving Plymouth with Wayne Rooney.

Reports today suggest a potential move for Daniel Iversen said to be on the radar of Middlesbrough. Michael Carrick are currently looking for a new goalkeeper with first team choice Sol Bryn out injured. Bryn (24) has been the preferred man between the sticks for ‘Boro, in their last 6 league outings. Bryn will be out for at least three months and a new number one is a priority.
Michael Carrick also have Seny Dieng and Tom Glover as alternative goalkeepers, but both of them have in no way impressed, giving Bryn the chance, earlier being a loan player out at different destinations.
Dieng has also been out with an injury, but believed to be back soon, but at this point only third choice alternative Tom Glover is available. Daniel Iversen could be one to loan in for the rest of the season, seen as either a third or fourth choice at Leicester.

@original-fat-bob Who’d be a goalkeeper? We take it for granted when they make worldie saves and hammer them when they make a mistake.
I don’t have much of a problem with Dieng - often a keeper is only as good as the defence in front of him (and vice versa!).
Wonder if this will mean that West Ham will be more likely to try to get LL although it would mean we could up the price

Also Zac Hemming has returned from loan at Orient with another loan probable, as we have no room in our squad unless someone leaves.
