It may be my imagination Jarkko but I thought I saw Friend playing as a right-sided centre-back.
Anyway, Boro look a lot more solid and although it's not been a game for purists, it's hard to recall when I last saw Boro play anything approaching total football - total something else but football no.
Britt has also looked sharper than previous outings and Spence and Roberts have been the spark down the right. Well taken goal by Fletcher from a good delivery. At least Boro looking to be qick into the tackle, which was not the case last week. Stoke haven't shown much so let's see if Boro can get a second and seal the much-needed three points.
Friend definitely on the left of the centre-back pair - maybe he's just switched position when I noticed him on the right. Boro started slowly in the second half.
The Brummies have just equalised, so the goal difference over Hull widens to three, Boro with a one-point lead over the Potters, but an inferior goal difference (five), should they equalise. Please, please, please, Boro: don't concede!
Tav scored while I was typing my last post! 🙂 Hull a goal up again. 🙁 Goal difference still three, though. 🙂
I've just started a new thread - Stoke 0 - 2 Boro - for your post-match reactions...
btw I'll move those posted already from the preview
