The players will have the magic barbeque at Warnock's home today. The routine should quarantee a good season. Even promotion.
Oh, why did not Woody know that? Just a bit magic ...
Up the Boro !
@jarkko Burgers, sausages, bananas with clotted cream... No mention of a beer though. You can’t have a barbecue without a beer surely?
All those players who’ve turned us down will be absolutely gutted now.
I see that Messi is pushing hard to leave Barcelona and believes he can go for free.
Great news for us as we could do with another option at right back.
Is it really 25 years since Boro played their first match at the Riverside Stadium? I wasn’t able to get a ticket for the match but queued for a couple of tickets for myself and my best pal now sadly long departed, for the Southampton match. The build up for the two goals from Craig Hignett and Jan-Aga Fjortoft shown on the Boro website were arguably in the top 10 ever played since at our new home in build up and execution. Sad that I missed them, but a fair reflection on the way we played football in those days. I also missed the stunning Juninho goal against the same opponents in the relegation season despite sharing a season ticket with my best pal as it was his turn to use it, but slightly compensated watching the ballet Copellia at Darlington Civic Theatre that afternoon.
Karanka bags GF and now he is checking out Clayton.
Could he be building the oldest squad in the league?
No doubt he will next turn his attention his favourite non playing striker, Rudy, or his ex shop steward Stuart Downing.
Watford game moved to Friday and live on sky https://www.mfc.co.uk 😎
League cup game against Shrewsbury available via video stream at a price of £10. 😎
@k-p-in-spain How much.....daylight robbery. Still not much else to watch on the TV.
He will have to settle for a place on the bench and await his chance.
Come on BORO.
I reckon he'll only play in cup games and come on in the last five minutes minutes if we are losing, 'to change the game' as we football professors say. Oh and I still want to se hime in the new strip.
UTB,
John
The highlights of the Tuesday's match are on https://www.mfc.co.uk/news/highlights-plymouth-argyle-0-boro-1
I wonder if RR can report the match shortly (lenght wise). I understood from the Gazette that Boro played with wing backs. Was it 5-3-2?
Up the Boro!
mfc.co.uk finally updated their senior squad list today
https://www.mfc.co.uk/teams/middlesbrough
Dael Fry the only one who hasn't got a picture with the new shirt...guess we know who didn't turn up for the squad photo...
Stubbs, Brynn and Sam Folarin have all now been promoted to the senior squad.
They still haven't updated it with any of the new u18 intake however.
I also love how they update these once a season at best. Sam Folarin joined us last summer and still has nothing in his 'bio' section 🤣
we are a buy and sell club , usually selling our better players , and replacing them with inferior ones, so who will it be this window.
on this cant get players to sign ,blaming wives and girlfriends , youd think it would be beneficial in the sense theyd be home every night instead of galavanting the bright lights of the big city
Did I miss something -I cant find any reference yet to the overseas streaming packages from Boro Are we I follow are is there an expat package?
@allan-in-bahrain. I agree Allan that the article on the MFC website does not make any mention of separate arrangements/pricing for overseas streaming or if season passes will be available in addition to a match pass which are being priced at £10.
Hopefully there will be some further information/clarity in the next few days.
As it stands at the moment it seems we will be paying £10 per match to watch streamed games until the agreement with Sky and the EFL is reviewed in October. It could be an expensive season. 😎
@billy Mr Stewart Downing, known as Karanka's assassin. No love lost between them two. Karanka beat him in the end and put him back in his pram with his toys.
You really don’t like Stewart Downing, do you. I agree that he was disappointing in his second period with Boro, but when I’ve reviewed my history of Boro in League and Cup matches his name invariably comes up as a star performer and the best winger that has played for Boro in my lifetime, so I think some credit should be given to him for that. I hope this doesn’t offend you Malcolm, but we all are entitled to our own opinions.

Sorry Jarkko no report as I haven't seen anything of the game apart from hearing Britt was Captain and he scored!

Done. UTB!
@k-p-in-spain unfortunately no but it may possibly clear a path to a new role for him.
To say there are talented players in the mass of non league football is the understatement of the year, as we are 'scouting' worn out players looking for a last payday, the giants are scrambling after the Young star of a non league club from nowhere, told about him by some scout, do they laugh, no, they check him, and act. It is that last word that trips us up. Someone tipped off his favourite club about the Leicester City striker and one, no doubt, wet Saturday, they went to nowheresvill, and guess what, a star is born. Spurs did the same, when finding their young midfielder, same result.
