@original-fat-bob   Let’s hope he does not succumb to the dreaded injury blight that has been affecting Boro for some considerable time now.
His last two years are riddled with lay offs.

Extract below from Yorkshire Examinerlive on line publication.  Sounds as if LW is not making a name for himself at Wednesday.

“Lewis Wing

Hear me out.

To say Wing has been a big disappointment since joining Wednesday would be a huge understatement. He has often flattered to deceive in the midfield engine room and failed to perform to the levels he produced while on loan at Rotherham United last term.

With Massimo Luongo and George Byers fit-again following long injury lay-offs, the Owls have an abundance of midfielders on their books. Fisayo Dele-Bashiru has also stepped up to the plate and was deservedly named Wednesday's player of the month for October.

The chances are Moore will ditch the three at the back system and revert to his favoured 4-2-3-1 formation when - or if - all their injury problems clear up.

When everybody is fit, would Wing get into the best XI? And perhaps more importantly, where would he play? Is there any point in keeping Wing if he is not going to be a regular?

Something else to bear in mind is that Chris Wilder has just taken over as Middlesbrough boss. It is not beyond the realms of possibility that he might want to take a look and see what Wing has got to offer and recall him in January.” 😎

Sounds like SW want rid of Wing, I personally would leave him there until the end of the season, IMHO he is league 1 standard at best.

Come on BORO.

I asked about the number of new players we can buy in January. This is how Craig Johns of Teesside Live replied to me today.

"With Taylor they have 24. So only space for 1 more. That doesn’t change for January. But U21s don’t need to be registered. I believe Spence, eg, who turned 21 after the season started, would qualify as an U21. But if Boro want to sign two, eg, in Jan, they’d have to deregister 1."

I hope this helps. So not big amount of new players coming. But if one sold, two can come.

Of course Neil Taylor has a short term contract untill Januaty only. Up the Boro!

I think players leaving/sold in January is not out of the question to make room/provide funds for players coming in, Tavernier could be one.

Come on BORO.
