greetings @original-fat-bob

No reason at all for this entry except to see if I've finally managed to add a photo to my profile. If so, it will a triumph of dumb luck over science.

I trust that you slept well.

The problem this season is it doesn't look like defensively Boro are going to be a mean one and it seems the plethora of attacking options may indeed need to score at least 2 goals per game to win games. At least it could be good to watch but if that's the strategy we would be better off with Mogga back in charge as he at least believed in that kind of strategy.

I have said all along that please bring Mogga back. He has kept Blackburn in the Championship for a few years now without much money. And he is much younger than Warnock.  Mogga is just 57.

Up the Boro!

@selwynoz

Money. He was given none and had his Celtic rejects at Boro to start with.

He has been succesfull at Hibs, West Brom and now at Blackburn. OK, he was dismissed at Celtic after nine months but I do not know the details.

He is a wondeful person and a true football guy. He re-built the player recruitment system that Strachan had demolished to save money. We were skint at the time after Strachan.

I would like to see Mogga in charge with a litle bit of money available. And I like the attacking minded philosophy from our legendary defender.

Up the Boro!

@jarkko

To be honest, I think Mogga has found his natural level at Blackburn. He's a competent manager for a mid-table Championship team, keeping it comfortably in mid-table without bothering either end much. I think that maybe his best role after Blackburn would be something like a director of football.

@jarkko.  As much as I like him as a person, for all he has done for the club in the past and as a fellow Teesside, I do not want him back.

We need a complete fresh start which encompasses a plan both short term, medium term and long term with time bound objectives and a manager who is capable of delivery. Not a lot to ask! 😎😊

Paddy McNair and Marc Bola are back in full training as Boro prepare for the weekend trip to Reading.

It's not clear at this stage whether the duo will be deemed fit to start at the Madejski Stadium, but they both featured in a club training video published on Wednesday afternoon showing the squad in action in a session at Rockliffe.

I think I also saw Marcus Browne in there. Well, he was supposed to be back around October that will start next week.

But no Dijksteel on the training ground, though.  Up the Boro!
