I’ve read this article several times and still can’t believe the gall of the Premier League in suggesting this - am I missing something
Gall indeed Andy.
Why not take steps to prevent Premier League clubs signing up all the young talent instead. That talent could then sign for EFL clubs and get to play regularly and develop and if good enough get purchased for the right sized fee by a bigger club. Real competition between clubs gets encouraged and money trickles down the way it used to and more fans at more clubs get to see more quality players more regularly and who knows, England and Scotland and Wales could all benefit.
Like the sketch from TWTWTW (That was the week that was )
Ronnie Barker, Ronnie Corbett and John Cleese.
i look down on him,
he looks up to me,
I’ve got a stiff neck !
To sum it up its just a farce and just reinforces the idea that the championship is just considered a second rate organisation by the money men and suits !

It makes one wonder why Boro want to be a Premier League club. It was Groucho Marx who stated that he wouldn’t want to join any organisation or club that allowed himself membership.
