Just reviewing the forthcoming games and the preview writers currently allocated to authorship.
Deleriad doesn’t post at present and we need a volunteer or volunteers,to do the match preview allocated for
Plymouth away 21/12/24.
Derby home 1/3/25
Coventry away 3/5/25
We shall also need a preview writing for the forthcoming FA CUP games in Jamary 2025.
Are there any other preview writers allocated to games who are unable to do a match preview?
Do we have any new volunteers to do a preview?
Shout up !

I’m all set to do the Blackburn mid week game (as long as the WiFi holds up here in Reeth). 🤞🏻

you could always message me via phone a copy of the preview and I could post it in the blog for you ?
cheers

Bob,, I'lm happy to fill in for the Plymouth review for 21/12/24 if that helps.
Where is Deleriad? Have anyone heard from him lately?
I am missing his comments 8n here. They are always top notch. Up the Boro!
OFB, I can do the FA Cup 3rd round (11 January 2025)
I would also like to swap my Plymouth home preview (18 April - Good Friday) with the Coventry away game (3 May) as I'll be away before Easter and won't have my laptop or likely wifi access - which means you'll need someone to do the Plymouth home preview instead.
I have amended the preview schedule file - I'll put a link in your opening article.
Great many thanks Len I volunteered but didn’t see your post
Werder please disregard my writing the Plymouth preview and annotate it as Len

OK, I updated the Preview Writer Schedule with...
Len in for Plymouth away (21 Dec)
Me in for FA Cup R3 (11 Jan)
OFB now in for Plymouth home (18 Apr)
Me in for Coventry home (3 May)
Just Derby home without a writer now (1 Mar)
I thought you meant you'd do Plymouth home on 18 April (Good Friday) - the one I swapped for Coventry. So Len is down for Plymouth away on 21 December and I've left you in for 18 April unless you can't make that.
@werdermouth And I am now sandwiched between top writers in Len and Dormo. Luckily for me it is Christmas time and hopefully nobody noticed the preview for the Boxing day match written by me.
I am not a writer and it not my my mother language. But I suppose every writer in here is top notch, anyway. But still worried about comparisons ...
Up the Boro!
There are no leftover turkey sandwiches on Diasboro only top quality feasts 🙂
Hi OFB,
I'm very happy to chip in with any previews. Please just let me know what suits and I'd be delighted to help out.
Cheers
... and usually with plenty to beef about, especially when someone has hammed it up in their post, maybe remembering Pat Partridge (one of Teesside's finest and never too chicken to make the right call), or perhaps reminiscing about players that were too deer [shakes head] for us to buy, (but not Barry Venison), while other posters duck and weave around the debate without knocking the stuffing out of anyone else. There are no leftover turkey sandwiches on Diasboro only top quality feasts 🙂
More of a banquet than a feast perhaps?
I’m happy to do the Derby game on 1 March if no-one else has bagged it?
Nice to hear you mention Pat Partidge as he was my refereeing mentor when I started out in the game.
He was also a friend of my father and worked with my fathers friend at Arthur Jones ELECTRICAL ON CARGO FLEET LANE.
Pat was a great supporter of the Referees Association and helped all referees whatever their rank or ability.
My only regret is that he gave me autographed red and yellow cards and I donated them to a charity event some years later but wish I still had them.
A thoroughly nice bloke and a great referee.

I remember that Donald Duck used to play for Whitby when I refereed and I sent him off after cautioning him because I thought after booking him for a foul he had given me a false name ! Oh dear me what a young fool of a ref !

I booked flights to Manchester this week. And hotel in Middlesbrough for the week around Easter. So I hope to see home matches vs. Plymouth and Norwich. And also the away match at Sheffield Wednesday between the two home matches. All between April 18th and 26th.OK, I updated the Preview Writer Schedule with...

As I was supposed to write the preview for the Sheffield Wednesday match, I would like to ask if someone will be willing to have the Wednesday starter? As you could imagine, I am on holiday on Teesside and not bringing my portable with me.
If you are able to swap the writing with me, I could do another preview after (Werder only) or just before my trip.
Up the Boro!
@andy-r Thanks, Andy. Can I take one intended for you in turn? Just let me know what match.
Up the Boro!
Thanks @jarkko but I didn’t have any this year due to work and family commitments. The Easter one is ideal as I’ll definitely be off!
