OFB,

Please get yourself sorted out soon but the big question is who's looking after the Marton Oracle's cave and pool while you are enjoying the delights of James Cook? Toast and marmalade, Gandalf will be jealous. Seriously, look after yourself in there and keep those lovely nurses on their toes.

All the best,

UTB,

John

It’s. A male nurse !!?

He's been brilliant i was no 5 on the doctors rounds list and he changed my no to first on the list because we were talking about the Boro. !

Although the cave is empty the Oracle says Boro 3 Oxford 0 !

Looks like Mrs OFB will be going to see the Boro with one of her sisters on my ticket !

Hackney had an instant impact when he opened the scoring to claim his first goal for England U21s, with Lee Carsley's side running out 4-2 winners over Portugal. Samuel Iling-Junior was also involved from the start for the Young Lions in their impressive display at the Hawthorns.

I just hope they all come back without injuries. We will miss OFB already for the Oxford match on Saturday. We cannot afford more ilnesses or injuries, next.

Regarding the entry for OFB, my thoughts are to take the average of everyone’s entry as his predictions, that way everyone has an input into his Part 2 entry, “all for one and one for all” so to speak.

If there is no objection, that’s what I will do on Friday, I am sure he will be back for Part 3 👍.

Come on BORO.

@jarkko - My mate and I will keep an eye on the MFC website and between us (if it is possible, with the number of tickets made available etc) and we will try to sort out the Wednesday tickets for you and Eija.

@OFB - WholeHEARTedly thinking of you.  Best of Luck.

We still have international players at the club eventhough McGree is injured.

Looking forward to the next match after gaining 2.0 points from the last five matches.

Spring has very definitely sprung in North Yorkshire - the sun is shining from a blue sky, 13C in the shade but in the sun it is warmer, 0% chance of rain, 11mph gentle south-westerly breeze...

Of course we are currently on what most of us still call Greenwich Mean Time so the sun rose today at 5.54am and will set at 6.29pm. But it will all be different on Sunday as we move to British Summer Time (sunlight saving time) when the mornings will be darker but the evenings lighter for longer (sunrise then at 6.43am and sunset at 7.37pm).  And in the summer we will almost be eskimoes/inuit with very short nights, and December will seem so very long ago.  You've got to love the seasons, haven't you?

Perhaps of more direct relevance to Boro, the discussion at "The Poisoned Parrot" tonight will turn to the major issue of the moment.  "Do we renew our season tickets, bearing in mind the 2nd April Early Bird Deadline?"

OFB, sorry to hear you're unwell and hope they can sort you out soon and hope you'll soon be fit for the excitement of the run in - though you're of course excused to just walk-in instead 😉

it makes for a strange relationship with time in Australia. As time moves forward in the UK, it goes back in Oz so that we are suddenly two hours nearer to each other, putting Oz only nine hours ahead instead of 11. Try explaining that one.

@selwynoz We are just two hours ahead of the UK. Luckily we change to the summer time the same day as the UK, so the Saturdays' matches start at the same time all year round.

We will get temperatures of twelve degrees on Saturday. No snow anymore but the nights are still cold. Today it was-5 degrees when I woke up. But the sun is shining and it will be + 7 by midday.

But no leaves in the trees for a month, though. Up the Boro!

I just caught up with Sir Gareth Southgate giving the Richard Dimbleby Lecture. I thought he did a pretty impressive job. He also referenced being sacked by the Boro as his most significant learning experience in management (missing that penalty being his most significant playing experience).

We've had a few decent central defenders over the years, but I'm not sure if any of the others have scaled quite the same intellectual heights, not even Dickie Rooks.

THAT'S IT!  I have renewed my Season Ticket for the 2025/26 season just a few minutes ago.  Not only for me but also for my mate who sits next to me.  When I went to the page to renew, it already had his details on it and the website assumed or asked me if I was buying for both so, after confirming with him by message, I agreed.  I must have bought tickets for him before (I know he has for me) and I can only assume that MFC considers us "Family & Friends". Next month's Barclaycard will sting a little!

At least I am safe in the knowledge that I will have another 14 months or so to moan about the Boro.

@forever-dormo On behalf of those of us exiled from Teesside, many thanks for supporting MFC. Without Season Ticket holders, the Club would be in a much worse financial position. Let’s hope you get value for money…
