@werdermouth No problem my better half tells me that I am the most tedious bloke in the world when I talk about the Boro so to receive any feedback at all is a novel and pleasant surprise. Thank you Jarkko and Martin I always enjoy your posts!

Sorry missed your post again for approval - for some reason posts awaiting approval are not showing on my screen so only spot them when I use the admin console (which is usually only every few days) - anyway you should be able to post live now and I guess when it comes to talking Boro your wife is probably not your target audience 😉

@chris-from-barlby.  I too have just seen your post and send you greetings and best wishes.  As OFB said, you will hopefully find this the friendliest blog you could hope for.

Excellent players Jim Platt and Spike, part of the best ever Boro team for me.

Looking forward to your contributions.

Do you regularly attend games live, as it is always good to hear from those who have been present at matches?😎

@werdermouth Thank you Werdermouth - my wife agrees! Thank you Bob it is good to hear we don't play the Sheffield Utd way on this forum. Thanks also to Powmill and KP. I don't attend games live these days. After leaving Teesside in the mid 80s I didn't return to the North until 2002 when I took a job in Leeds. I was then  able to go to games for a number of years until I set up my own business in York which has seen me work at weekends most weeks for quite a while. I still follow keenly but remotely now. Hope to get back someday to regular attendance.

Welcome to Diasboro MFC Canada

btw sorry I missed your post last week as I've been sidetracked on projects again but your first 2 posts always need approving before they are visible to everyone - after that you are free to post live.

A warm welcome at what is a bitterly cold time of year in Canada.  Looking forward to your contributions

@mfccanada.  Welcome from sunny Spain and I suspect a lot warmer than Canada this time of the year.

I am sure you will enjoy being part of the friendliest and knowledgeable blog you could wish for. 😎

@mfccanada

A huge welcome to the blog where you will find that you are amongst friends and will probably get to read more newsworthy comments and articles about the Boro than any other blog on the planet.

A blog that was started by Anthony vickers who was the Boro journalist for the Evening Gazette and it was called Untypical Boro. Editorial changes meant that the Mirror group who owned the Gazette frowned on one of their journalists running a football blog and the blog was stopped.

Anthony and the other key football journalists left due to the editorial change and some went to the Northern Echo and Anthony joined Middlesbrough Football Club as their lead football writer and has written several books which are available in the club shop.

Werder our blog host set this blog up “Diasboro” comprising those bloggers who were contributors of the old Untypical Boro site and the ethos has remained the same. We don’t use profanities, we don’t play the man and respect everyone’s opinion and consider ourselves a civilised bunch. One thing we all share is a love of Football and the Boro specifically.

Hopefully you will feel not restrained to air your views and if you wish, then previews for games come available for you to write the opening lead article, but don’t think that you have to do this or feel worried about it. Just take your time becoming accustomed to the craic and wit of the others who are spread around the globe.

We do have lurkers who visit the site and read the comments and don’t comment themselves and Whilst this isn’t a problem, we do like the discourse and varied views of Boro supporters world wide.

Welcome aboard it’s nice to have you as part of our blog .

OFB

@mfccanada Hello and welcome on board. At least you have lived some years on Teesside. I am one of the exceptions as I have never lived on Teesside.  But I have visited the place well over 30 times from Finland to see the mighty Boro.

Welcome again. Up the Boro!

New member, looking forward to contributing alongside fellow positive Boro supporters, removed myself from the Teesside Live forum as couldn't cope with the constant negativity and usual folk in there who are certainly not Boro supporters.

Post on the Echo forum which is much more positive but much fewer in numbers.

What a start to the season !!

Welcome on board to Diasboro! I just noticed late yesterday evening you'd registered as I need to approve your first 2 posts (otherwise they remain invisible to normal members) as part of the system security but you're now good to go without approval.

@presidentjump

welcome aboard from Sydney. I left Middlesbrough in my mid-teens for London and like many on this blog have followed Boro from various parts of the world.
