I should have mentioned that Aston Villa and Everton have met each other more than any other two clubs, a total of 207 times in League matches yet only twice in Cup matches. Villa lead with 52 wins to Everton’s 50 with 107 drawn matches, but have yet to meet at Goodison Park this season.

Boro’s home match with West Brom has been chosen by Sky for television on 22nd February, and the long awaited match away to Sheffield United is scheduled for the 8th March as the Blades complete their catch up of postponed matches due to Covid outbreaks over the Christmas period of their opponents.

Also William Kokolo has left Boro and signed for Burton Albion on a permanent deal.
