Please add any feedback about issues related to the new site - including things that may not be working correctly or any requests to whether it is possible to add features.

Yes will do Allan - it's on my to-do list, and I've probably got a few other useful links to add

Sorry Werder didn't mean to make it sound a gripe - its just I am not so good with these things and thought honestly it was my own mistake that I could not find it

We all appreciate everything you do. You are marvellous.

No worries Allan, I'm happy if everyone flags up things that may need doing as I may miss something.

btw Allan, I moved the rest of your post to a new thread in Member's Lounge called 'General Chat' as this forum is more for site issues - don't worry it will take time to get used to posting in the relevant forum but it will make it easier to navigate through posts in the long run.

First off Werder, a big thank you for the new site as we all start to get used to it.

As I said previously, spoilt for choice, so it will be interesting to see how that evolves.

So......two questions, the answers may be looking me in the face. 🤨

1) when I enter the home page and make my pick, usually the Boro section, the first post is first. Would it be possible to see the last /latest posts first. Especially as there are a number of pages.

2) Redcar Reds match reports. Can we pick them up separately, instead of going back in the posts stream.

Many apologies, if one can do these now and I have missed the obvious.. 🤨

Thanks Pedro and yes I'm sure it will take time to get used to the forum but hopefully it does have a logic that will seem better as time progresses.

1. On your first point, The threads (or topics if you like) within a forum are listed and currently there are just two in Middlesbrough FC (Swansea preview and reaction) You will notice under the heading two links - first post and last post, which take you to those posts within that thread.

Also, under that are 5 links in a list with first being the very first post that created the thread and would normally give the context to all the other replies in the thread - you will notice it's got a speech bubble icon next to it to indicate it's the one that started the thread.

However, the four post below it in the list with the arrow icons are in fact the four most recent posts - so if you click on the last one it's the last post

2. On the second point, I was thinking of putting a link in the margin for the match reports, however, you can still click on the 'BLOG' option in the menu at the top of the page and you will see that RR's match report is the latest blog post.

How can I stop getting an email if someone mentions me in a post? I’ve checked subscriptions and I don’t have any.

I was also wondering how to stop that as I couldn't find it in my member account settings - I've just found it at the bottom of the forum console email settings that has a list of about 10 emails with editable text that get sent for all kinds of reasons.

Anyway, I've hopefully turned that one off now - if nobody has any strong objections it will stay off.

A big thank you to Werder on an exceptionally smooth DREXIT. All done without the need of a transition period. It would appear all members have been able to handle the change and have taken it in their stride.

This new home with all mod cons is surely blog utopia and can go from strength to strength, without the draining limitations and defects of the old location.

😉

Many thanks GHW and at least you didn't opt for a Wordpress exit with the unfortunate WREXIT shorthand...

Werder - totally understand your stance on the politics section - that is not the aim of this forum.

You should not be expected to spend so much time on this kind of stuff, especially given all the fantastic work you have done on this site.

 Virtual  pint for you Sir.

Ps - I still think there is a case for some of your costs incurred to be covered by us members

I used to pride my self on the old AV blog of reading every post, a simple respect for other people’s views. When the “ Reply” button was introduced this became increasingly difficult and was carried over to the DiasBoro site.

I'm happy to see this has been addressed, and even happier to see that there is  even an “ Unread Posts” option. This has now become the Carlsberg of blogs and long may it prosper.

I’m a slow learner but think I’ve at last cracked how to use which sites to use when posting. However the one thing I’ve never been able to master is the ‘like’ button. Whenever I press the ‘like’ button instead of printing Ken Smith it prints You as you’ll see from the previous post from grovehillwallah.

I see it as Ken Smith whereas you will see “ you” as it was indeed you. There you go Ken. Clear as mud.

Ken if it was me hitting the "Like" button it would be "You" but if it was "You" hitting the like button it would be "Ken"  🙂

It only shows the name of other posters on your page who hit the "Like" button but if we hit the "Like" button instead of our name it only refers to us as "You".

Clear as mud as GHW has already said, the key is not to worry about it because be assured it shows as "Ken" on everyone else's page.

Grovehillwallah and RedcarRed

Thanks, I understand that now, sorry for appearing so thick but some of computer technology leaves me standing.
