Just to inform you that I'm doing a bit of a reorganisation of the Forum Categories today and moving some topics.

I'm going to add a new Main Category called 'Boro Seasons' with Forums in it such as 2023-24, 2022-23, 2021-22 etc and then move the relevant topics from the 'Middlesbrough FC' into the relevant seasons.

This will help with my long-term background plan of improving the site navigation to historical content plus I want to make a guide on how to post match previews. Also the Middlesbrough FC forum has become a bit large and unwieldly with over 260 topics in it from various seasons.

I'll start today by moving the match preview topics from the current season as it will also make it less work in future when adjusting the url link for the new home page and planned page of all games for this season - and in time previous seasons.

Note: this will mean if you have a page or link to a particular Diasboro preview open in your browser it will give an error saying page not found as the web address will change to its new location.

It will also mean that the 'Match Preview' links on the new home page won't work until I've copied the new links into my database and regenerated the page - which I'll do at some point today.

Boro v Brum has now been moved to: BORO SEASONS > 2023-24

Since nobody was logged into Diasboro I decided to move it earlier than planned 🙂

Phase One of the Forum Restucturing has been completed...

  • All Match Previews and a few other Topics have been moved to
    BORO SEASONS > 2023-24
  • Match Preview titles have been renamed in a uniform way (e.g. Boro v Cardiff) with dates and author details removed as short simple titles work better in the Forum navigation.
  • The change in the reference to these titles has also been updated in every post (comment)
  • The links on the new home page to the match previews have also been updated to point to their new location in the 2023-24 Forum.

Most people probably won't even notice these changes but they are quite useful for the task of organising and curating the content 🙂

@werdermouth - Thanks for all your efforts because, without you, we wouldn't have a workable Blog or maybe even a Boro Blog at all.

@werdermouth A big thank you, mate. So wonderful to have this blog in live and in a good shape, too. Deeply appreciated. Up the Boro!
