According to the Echo we are in advanced talks with Lausanne over Kaley Sene and hope to have him in for a medical in the next couple of days. Stats say he is not prolific but pics of him show him to be a big unit but that is nothing to go by as per Iheanacho.Metz forward Cheikh Sabaly is trying to force a move to Middlesbrough.
The Senegal international hasn’t trained since Monday. (L’Équipe - France)
Salaby has better stats. Maybe we are after both?
Up the Boro!
@powmillnaemore During his time playing in the Eredivisie for Ajax, although he did not not get a lot of starts and was used mainly from the bench, his goals per minutes played was on par with his last season with us.
Kaly Sene has the number nine shirt at Lausanne Sport and according to TransferMarkt, plays as a CF, but can operate on either wing (right footed). His perceived market value is Two Million Euros. I assume we will be paying a little more than that, hopefully not too much more.
Ben Doak was selected for Scotland, but Tommy Conway misses out.
Bad for the Boro striker but good for the club. Up the Boro!
Good for us 🤔Ben Doak was selected for Scotland, but Tommy Conway misses out.

Come on BORO.
Apparently Ings and Mee training with Sheffield UTD
@gt - Sheffield United with parachute money has deeper pockets than Boro and can take a chance on players who might have looked promising a few years back but who have done nothing in recent years. If it was MY money, I'd not want to spend it on the speculative venture that Ings' wages would represent.
Just watched a fantastic match between Newcastle and Liverpool, 35 minutes Liverpool score, in injury time first half Gordon gets rightfully sent off, 45 seconds into the second half Liverpool go 2-0 up, Guimaraes gets one back on 57 minutes, on 88 minutes (new signing) Osula equalised, 11 minutes of added time, in the 96th minute Liverpool bring on 16 yr old Rio Ngumoha only for him to score the winner (with a brilliant composed finish) on 100 minutes, FT 2-3.
Come on BORO.
🚨 | West Ham are considering making a move for Middlesbrough midfielder Hayden Hackney.

@original-fat-bob No, thank you.
If we could keep HH, we are OK for the season. Our midfield is excellent with Morris and HH. Let's keep the current players, please.
West Ham are bottom of the EPL table, though.
Naturally we need a srtiker or two. Up the Boro!
@jarkko its going to be a very interesting week, no doubt a couple of incomings and obviously we need to see outgoings to remain within squad number. Can we keep the crown jewels though ? Time will tell.
I still have a suspicion that once Liverpool get their new striker ( Isak ? ) we will see Jayden Danns on loan.
They have been considering a move for Hackney since last season, I wouldn’t panic too much about that OFB.🚨 | West Ham are considering making a move for Middlesbrough midfielder Hayden Hackney.

Come on BORO.
I wouldn't blame Steve Gibson if he accepted close to £40m for Hackney and Azaz ,there comes a time when you have to reap the rewards of your patience and investment,
I'm sure we would survive without them, a couple of decent loanies for now might help, and then kick on ,towards the goal of finishing as high as possible,
I'm sure he would use part of that money anyway to ,maybe bring in the striker we need

🚨 | BREAKING: Lausanne striker Kaly Sène is in Paris today to complete a medical ahead of a move to Middlesbrough.
[Blick Sport]
Jonny Howson will return to the Riverside for Boro's match against Sheffield United this weekend.
The fan favourite, who departed the club to begin his coaching career with boyhood club Leeds United over the summer, will be back on Teesside to show his gratitude to the Boro fans.
It's our chance for a fitting farewell for the former club captain, who led by example in the 341 appearances he made across eight seasons with the club.
Jonny spoke in glowing terms of the Boro faithful as he gave an emotional departing interview with us earlier this summer.
"I can't thank the fans enough," he told mfc.co.uk.
"I hope they realise how much their support has meant to me."
After Boro's perfect start to the league campaign, it promises to be another excellent atmosphere at the Riverside, and Jonny will be welcomed to the pitch shortly before kick-off.

@exmil The Echo wrote this afternoon (Tuesday) that Boro have not received a new offer for Hayden Hackney despite mounting transfer speculation over the midfielder. Reports have emerged in the last 24 hours suggesting West Ham United have been in contact with the Boro hierarchy.
However, while Hackney is understood to be one of number of midfield options currently being considered by the Hammers, there has been no formal contact between the two clubs and Boro have not received a Premier League offer for the England Under-21 international.
Up the Boro!
@PresidentJump - Welcome aboard, Mr President!
I see you have joined the Blog today. What a cracking time to join a Boro Blog when the team we all follow has started the season like a train/house on fire (other metaphors are available). Let's hope the season turns out to be all that we hoped it might be.
@forever-dormo Thank You for the welcome.
Fingers crossed, exciting times !!
@PresidentJump - welcome to the Forum - you’re going to enjoy it bigly, with added covfefe.
@martin-bellamy - Not the sort of post you'd get on many other Blogs...
Maybe there is a resident of The White House who is a closet Boro supporter.

MAGA
Make Ayresome Great Again....
OK, I'm living in the past a bit there, but then again, isn't that the point ? 🤔
Maybe we should put tariffs on HH to stop anyone buying him!
Good news, PNE Dave has agreed to help me out with the Preston starter. Let’s beat the Blades first though.
@martin-bellamy - Three points against the Blades would be sweet! And maybe on our own at the top of the table...?
@martin-bellamy lol, cheers Martin. Looking forward to some good conversation from positive and realistic fellow Boro supporters.
@martin-bellamy N Echo is reporting the club is adamant he is now going nowhere in this window.
MIDDLESBROUGH are adamant they will not be selling Hayden Hackney in the final six days of the transfer window.
Apologies with my poor copy and paste.
Scott Wilson is posting as an exclusive, MFC are adamant HH will not be leaving during this window.
