It's that time of year again! Thanks to everyone who has volunteered to write match previews again - unless I'm mistaken there are nine of us this season so around 6 or 7 matches each, plus (maybe) some additional cup matches.
Largely using a random number generator, I've put the below roster together but please feel free to arrange swaps etc and I'll try to keep a note.
Thanks again everyone.

Thanks for organising the schedule again this year @andy-r ... and, yes, I will accept your challenge to find something original to say about West Brom after having covered both fixtures, home and away, last season ! 😉
@powmillnaemore Do you want to swap a WBA match for Blackburn on Boxing Day?
@martin-bellamy thanks Martin
I wasn't complaining. Honestly!! Actually that would give me two back to back to write over the festive period as I have Hull on 29th Dec. Best to leave it as it is. Like I said, I will rise to the challenge ... who knows what will be topical ...or should that be typical, to inspire at the time.
It is also probably the first time in my life I have ever been on a hatrick, so you can't take that away from me 😁
Thanks Andy - though I fancy my games could see my record remain intact for another season 😏
Southampton (A)
Derby (A)
Oxford (A)
Leicester (H)
Ipswich (A)
That list should be Ok. I am starting with the dreaded Tuesday night v Stoke but this time it's a home game and I'll most likely be operating from a very different climate.
The next three are quite interesting
H v Coventry
H v Southampton &
A b Birmingham.
I then end up with H v Sheffield Wed as Boro's 44th game. Still in the race, I hope.
UTB
Thanks, Andy.
Unless I have made some mistake, I will cover:
Norwich (H) 23 Aug
Wrexham (H) 25 Oct
QPR (H) 13 Dec
SheffU (A) 7 Feb
Blackburn (A) 21 Mar
Let's see what we can come up with....
@powmillnaemore No problem.
I’ve put these games in my diary:
Preston (A) 13/09/25
Leicester (A) 04/11/25
Blackburn (H) 26/12/25
Preston (H) 24/01/26
Swansea (A) 06/04/26
Thanks for organising the rota Andy and I have the honour of doing the Boro preview for the opening and closing home games of the season !
Hopefully both will be wins !
Many thanks to all those who write the previews it’s appreciated by all the Diasborians and it’s refreshing to see the differing writing styles and methodology.
OFB
Thanks Andy. I’m happy with my lot:-
Doncaster H
Ipswich H
Hull A
Stoke A
Charlton H
Wrexham A
That’s a Carabao banana skin, two definite relegation candidates, one promotion certainty and an absolute belter of a play-off decider to finish the season! UTB.
Oh….. and Stoke away on a Wednesday night in January! What could possibly go wrong?
