Agree Andy, Spence doesn't look fully fit. Great Fletch header to make up for his mistake for their goal.

Reading don't look much and another Boro goal could clinch it. I've been impressed by Fry, Friend, Johnson, and Tav. but there have been no obvious weak links.  Glad to see Dijksteel is playing at right back, where he's done well.

All to play for and I'm hoping our greater motivation will see us through.

Roberts bags his first goal for Boro to put them 2-1 up.  Johnson atones for his eariler mistake (according to Vic) by assisting him with a cross.  Up to 17th with 50 points.  *dusts off prayer mat*

Hull now 0-8...

@k-p-in-spain if Wednesday get a points deduction that last day fixture could take on an entirely different complexion. If we are safe by then I can see Boro mentally not turning up despite how unfair that would be to other strugglers. If Wednesday are already down I could see them not turning up. There again if we both desperately need a result then it could be very tasty.

The amount of times we seem to finish at Hillsborough would seem to call into question how "random" the fixture program is.

According to Jeff Stelling if Sheffield Wednesday are deducted points it is likely to be 9.

The worst scenario now for Boro is that they need 2 more points to avoid relegation, but in reality they’re safe now. It would need some more extraordinary results to deprive Boro of their place in next season’s Championship, so congratulations are due to Neil Warnock and the players.
