The Beeb's half-time assessment:

A game that started brilliantly and then went downhill pretty rapidly.  Britt Assombalonga gave the visitors the lead from the penalty spot inside the opening four minutes, but Hull levelled through Herbie Kane's lovely free-kick after just seven minutes.  Thereafter it's been very scrappy and the hosts have been forced into two injury substitutions with both Kane and Callum Elder forced off.

A draw wouldn't be a bad result for Boro, but Hull, winless since New Year's Day, really need to make the most of games against the teams around them.

I don’t need to tell George Friend if he’d jumped he could have headed the free kick away.

GHW, he did jump - but too early! In the replay you could see he was was coming down already and even tried to jump up again. But second one was late. So bad tim7ng, me thinks.

Up the Boro!
