I was going to say I don't know how we didn't win that game but I do know - we just can't seem to score! Nevertheless, it was a good performance and much better approach play and the players linked up well - it was just the final ball or the final shot that lacked quality. Blackburn looked second best and Boro's midfield was much sharper and it seemed only a matter of when Boro would score. Alas, 17 shots and 13 corners didn't produce much in the way of a clear opportunity and surprisingly Blackburn defended well. Still, none of the other top six teams managed a win so it a case of as you were and Boro still well-placed in 5th and looking a better team with each game. - 9 games unbeaten and just one goal conceded in the last six. Boro look like contenders and it's looking like we'll probably get better!

Great point. Love Warnock for what he has done. He is a master.

Observations from me overall, we are so short of a decent striker. But I would sell Assombalonga in January and I wonder why we still have Roberts stuck to the bench.

Just watched Mowbray’s post match interview, I don’t know which game he was watching, but his team were played off the park. Boro totally dominated the game ( again), and but for some desperate last ditch defending it would have been a heavy defeat for them.

Just missing that rub of the green, Bettinelli could have brought a deckchair out with him. My only gripe is his poor distribution, a bit more accuracy is needed from him. Another clean sheet and the confidence is brimming.

Once again first to the loose balls and winning the 50/50 and 40/60 balls. Out muscled them in every department. Great stuff and I think they will get even better.

The problem with your suggestion re BA is who would buy him? A low scoring striker on mega money and who contributes little else to the team in the way of performance.

No one appears to have made a bid for him in the last four seasons so I see him going to the end of his contract and then being released.  A very poor investment when gauged over the length of his contract. 😎
