Agreed.  But in any case why would the Club be tempted to sell him now when he will be worth maybe three times £35 million at some point if he continues to score so prolifically? Besides, he is critical to the promotion push and could be equally critical to Boro’s chances in the PL. Selling him in January would be madness.

I agree. But I wouldn’t have sold Latte Lathe in similar circumstances.

We did.

OFB, great to see you back at the keyboard never mind the game! Well done.

This season I decided to stand back and enjoy Boro instead of looking for faults and they are repaying that attitude handsomely.

No more of the do this and why don't we do that and what are they thinking, I'm just sitting back and rolling with it and above all I'm really enjoying the games. I refuse to even think about a post Christmas slump, it won't happen with the attitude of the team and the crowd.

We may lose a couple but that's football. The glass isn't full yet but it's getting closer. Now to watch some of that passing again...

All the best everyone.

UTB,

John

I agree. I think the FA have always been very firm about not letting us have twelve men on the pitch. So I reckon we can't have the spectacular, breathtaking, bamboozling, high-scoring, points winning, table-topping, rootin' tootin' displays that we've been witnessing and also have a totally water-tight defence.

In any case, whichever way you look at those Xg For and Against tables, we're either top or second in the league. So we are already giving away a minimum of goalscoring opportunities. I just don't think you can be even a little bit more cautious and expect the cavalier football to carry on unhindered.

I'd be happy if we had no more clean sheets from now till the end of the season, if it means continuing to pile up the goals and the points
