@jarkko Ah I didn't know that about the technology, it certainly looked in but wonder what the issue was with the technology, was it a fault from Prestons side which some may say could have come back to bite them on the rear.
But as I say, I am sure the ball was in, for me it was Hansens goal, keeper saved his shot but span back over the keeper and over the line.
On the late equalizer it looked like although Browne threw himself at the ball he failed to get a touch.
As for Whittaker, I lost count the number of times he lost the ball or failed to make a tackle - including one feeble effort just before he was subbed where he just made a token effort as a player ran past him.
I can’t really see him demanding a start with the other options available to Edwards - I think Nypan is on a different level and with more games under his belt he would be a cut above at Championship level.
Looking like Boro have a very competitive squad this season with a good mix of grit and ability - plus sure l more to come from the news boys too!
Re the goal-line technology: I had no idea it wasn’t working. I looked across at the linesman when Boro celebrated and he clearly indicated GOAL. I just assumed the ref’s watch had confirmed this!
I must say that it definitely looked in from my position high above the goal, but of course that’s not the ideal vantage point!
Dan Barlaser came on as substitute in the 57th minute for Hibs in a 3 - 3 draw against Dundee United.
Interesting, pragmatic, sensible perspective:
So Sheffield Utd have sacked Ruben Selles and look set to re-appoint Chris Wilder as manager - what could possibly go wrong...
what is this, is third spell as Manager at the club ? To be fair he is Sheff Utd through and through and he does seem to do a decent job with them, couldn't really understand his sacking after the play offs but such is football and owner demands these days.So Sheffield Utd have sacked Ruben Selles and look set to re-appoint Chris Wilder as manager - what could possibly go wrong...
Am I right in thinking that Sheff Utd changed their way of operating to an AI type model for their recruitment etc, not sure how that will work with an old school manager like Wilder.
Good, post, but,is,it,only me that thought “Kaly Sène was off the field at the time (receiving treatment?” was due to a pull back by the throat in the penalty box by a PNE Defemder. Then to compound the indecision and no penalty the ref made Sene go off the field for treatment ! Very poor refereeing decisions !

@original-fat-bob thats what I saw
I don’t know how many of the Boro had the sickness bug over the week but there were quite a few below par performances during the game.
HH was poor by his standards. Ayling was caught out a few times. We missed Fry and we were poor for the second goal with slack marking. Morris was not as effective as precious games.
But hey the new guys looked good and a point is a point. The last two seasons wouldn’t have resulted in a draw or so many substitutes !
Althogether now

@jarkko I think it was definately past the post, (from Hansen) when Browne sensibly followed up with his head to make sure.
@werdermouth My only concern which I voiced in an earlier post, is around the CB's.
Fry has been injury prone for at least the last couple of seasons. Ayling is he gets an injury, may take longer than a younger player to recover.
Will Lenihan be able to play two games a week and keep fit when we start playing in earnest after the next International break.
I do not think Edmundson is a first team pick, but OK as a sub.
And what would we do if Brittain got a knock? I guess possibly Silvera.
I've seen very little reaction to the departure of Alan Fettis, explanation about what's behind it or whether he is going to be directly replaced.
Have I not been paying attention?
@malcolm Iheanacho scores late penalty as Celtic beat Kilmarnock in Scottish Premiershipọ (90'+6 pen). Ịheanachọ came on at 770'in the away match.
Both Boro and Celtic were back in the running for Strelec thus summer – which suggests that the Slovak international might be a little bit special. His goalscoring performance against Germany last week would seem to rubber stamp that fact.
We won the race and Celtic went for Iheanacho.
Up the Boro!
@original-fat-bob Yes the ref let that one go and a number of others
To be fair I actually thought Whittaker was lucky to stay on the pitch after just a few minutes with his wild lunge into a tackle sending the Preston player a couple of foot in the air, reminded me of James Morrison on Ronaldo.
I still have a little chuckle whenever I watch that Morrison assault on Ronaldo and then little Rooney having his ten pence worth.
My favourite but perhaps least thought through football chant of the weekend was by the Arsenal supporters after going 3-0 up against Ange Postecoglou’s Forest… “Are you Tottenham in disguise” - who incidentally were playing in an away kit of white shirts and dark blue shorts! Needless to say it would’ve been a poor disguise if it was…
Elsewhere, Adilson Malanda helped Charlotte FC equal an MLS record as they defeated Lionel Messi’s Inter Miami 3-0 at the weekend.
It was a ninth straight league victory for Charlotte, and no team has ever had a run of more consecutive wins in the competition’s history.
The Inter Miami team featured, among others, Messi, Sergio Busquets, Rodrigo de Paul and Jordi Alba, but they were no match for Dean Smith’s Charlotte, who are third in the Eastern Conference.
Let's hope Adilson will empty his pockets before coming to Boro in January. As Messi was definately there yesterday. Up the Boro!
It is all quiet in here just now, so I hope you will forgive me posting the WBA thread header up so soon, but I will not get the chance to do so again before Wednesday if I don't put this up now.

It didn't work for him at Boro, but I hope him all the best at Celtic. Up the Boro!
