Boro back down to second: Coventry two goals to the good after 59 minutes. 🙁
@martin-bellamy thanks for pointing me to this report. It’s a fair reflection of the gamePhilip
After 10 games Boro have accumulated 21 points, which is more than anyone thought, as a reminder I have listed below everyone’s predictions, don’t mean to embarrass anyone including myself 😂.

Come on BORO.
Excellent result two good teams with intent, although I'm fuming once again giving up a goal from a set piece , it's been happening for too long, many seasons now.maybe this new CB coming in , will help defending the box.
The league is very interesting, very tight at the top ,this might be a good thing ,in the sense all the teams will be under pressure not to lose games, I think the bench we have is going to be vital,
Don't fall asleep on Wednesday against Wednesday COB
@gt Alfie Jones couldn't track O Sheas run, he actually ran into a couple of his own players.
Yes, we need to look at that, but cant complain I guess though we are now the second best defence in the championship following that goal.
@martin-bellamy I think Browne brings a little more solidarity to the defensive are than Morris.
Morris has probably more stamina over 90 minutes, but in saying that Browne did OK. Browne may also have a better passing range.
Difficult to play all three though unless we play with a back four and have HH playing in the 3.
If it even needs saying, Browne is also better at shooting than Morris and his half-volley saved by their keeper was well struck and controlled - Morris would’ve been lucky if he’d have avoided row Z on recent evidence 😏
@pedro I think what's great about it Pedro is that we noe have these options, the versatility of the squad etc, that we should be comfortable in different formations and we have the players who can move/fit into the different scenarios that a football game does bring.
@exmil. Thanks for the reminder. I standby my prediction but I am absolutely delighted that I was so wrong and the team continues to vie for top spot.
I think it would be so fitting next year, our 150th, if we returned to the PL! 😎
Thanks exmil. Good to know that I am vying for top spot in being wrong in my pre-season predictions. Like KP I stand by my predictions because all of the evidence at the time demonstrated beyond reasonable doubt that I should have been right. It was typical Boro that let me down not my rigorous employment of the scientific method.
Actually my detailed analysis was even worse than my final result. I had us down to get one point from the first 4 games, all of which we won, only coming into our own with two easy fixtures against Stoke at home and Portsmouth before finally capitulating with a predictable defeat against Ipswich.
I'm available for exclusive private consultations about future results for a surprisingly modest fee.
My Scouse wife has also suggested that I should pursue what she believes may be a more profitable sideline by soliciting emoluments from Diasborians in return for not posting any further predictions on this blog.
All I would add is that the majority of predictions ending up being way out was entirely predictable...
Sorry to move away from our beloved Boro, however, Forest sacking Postecuglou after 39 days to take the record of the shortest premier league manager in history, previously 40 days.
Is it just me but wouldn't it have been better to wait a couple of days to avoid that record, would it have made a huge amount of difference to dismiss on Monday and avoid the record, it comes across to me that the owner is seeing the record as some kind of trophy to be proud of, sad really.
Though you could argue that if you were going to sack him for losing against Chelsea then why bother waiting 2 weeks until after the international break had finished and wasting that time.
Still a complete shambles from the owner in turning a team competing for a Champions League spot into one now all at sea and looking at relegation - it's nobody else's fault, he should sack himself if he wants to improve matters!
