You know Len I’ve been going to ga,es and supporting the Borosince 1973 and 1986 aside I think this is a new low !
Sell all our best players and sign young players with “potential”
Mrs OFB and I haven’t even used our season tickets yet and feeling quite dispirited .”!
Even the win on Saturday didn’t really lift us as to be honest Boro didn’t play well. I know it’s early days and the team are bedding in but but but I have serious misgivings where this season is heading !

Pleased, you’ve sorted out your laptop. Hopefully the dough the Boro players are on we can sieve out the loafers so we can slice through the opposition. Let’s face it they earn a good crust and if they don’t get a good grilling from our coached then Saturday we are toast !

Alas it see seems you are not very close to us at all. Upwell is certainly in the West of Norfolk and very close to being in Cambridgeshire. We live in Bircham which is about 7 miles directly inland from Brancaster so I suppose North West Norfolk rather than West.

I can still hear my late dad asking me why I was going to go and see the Boro, cos " they never come round to see you when you're bad ".
Boro were not only desperately short of a striker last night, we were also desperately in need of somebody - anybody - who could hold up the ball at the front to bring in runners from behind. You know, I think Josh Coburn is probably very good at that. Just saying……
Hopefully Josh won't show us what we're missing on Saturday!
btw Just read McCabe hobbled off injured and Alfie Jones has a nasty cut to his head - with nobody due to return then losing another two for the weekend means the numbers are reduced further.
@boroexile Close enough, We're about two miles from the County border but you aren't too far away really. We must get together for a beer, that would seem reasonable!

Enjoy your cricket day out and birthday! Clifton Park is a nice spot.
I made the opposite journey on Tuesday taking my 2 sons to the game. Let’s just say that it didn’t turn out as planned. The last time I took them before that was to the FA Cup tie versus Blackburn. Needless to say my 2 teenagers have not been impressed with what they have seen in the last year. The Boro do not make it to easy do they? Hopefully they stick with it through thin and thin!
I am just wondering if MFC will get any serious bids for Hayden Hackney.
Time is moving on and deals are starting to get done. I cannot see any of the so called bigger EPL clubs bidding, more like someone such as Wolves, Leeds may be, Crystal Palace?
What concerns me, for his sake, is that he has not really shown any buy me performances to date, since last season. I am starting to believe that bids that may come in, will be less than the Ipswich 20 million offer. That would reduce our spending possibilities.
So Van den Berg to FC Koln is a done deal 11 million apparently. Looking at our squad list we have 21 players over the age of 21, so room for 4 more. Contrastingly Ipswich currently have 28 so will need to move some on before the squads are finalised. Is this on the day the window closes?
@pedro. My thoughts exactly. If he is so highly thought of by PL clubs then they would have made a move when Ipswich made their offer or they felt the asking price was too much.
I also feel that after an impressive first couple of seasons he has not progressed as much and for me doesn’t dominate games; he may well still be with us come the close of the window or if not then we will have to accept much less than the Ipswich offer. 😎
I think the money from the sale of Hackney is being earmarked to be used for club running costs rather than to be reinvested - it appears there is a £14m shortfall every season and some reports that the club owes Steve Gibson a similar amount. In which case the club don't need to sell him in this window and may well be advisable to wait until January if he can't be replaced adequately.
