Ken Smith looks back at Boro’s footballing history and stats

Regular contributor to Diasboro, Ken Smith, has been compiling football and Boro stats for much of his life and has a love of the history of the game too – especially about the team he has supported from a young age for what is now eight decades as a Middlesbrough supporter. He has been sharing his recollections and memories of Boro games and players by posting comments on Diasboro – as well as providing us with some of the stats he’s meticulously compiled over the years. Since it’s not always easy to unearth  the comments from the many thousands made on the blog, I’ve tried to gather together a selection of his posts and edit them into standalone articles in their own right. Hopefully it will prove to be an interesting and valuable resource for all our readers – Werdermouth
